I returned to Portland in 1972 after the Army (Viet Nam, Walter Reed, and a few stops in between) and graduate school. After forty years in health care administration and twenty-two as CEO of several hospitals, I briefly flirted with retirement. I am now involved in a family real estate partnership and am also consulting in hospital management. My wife, Pam, is a Registered Nurse and works at a major hospital in the Portland area as a clinical nurse. My mother and father are well and recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
