Website: newberryhouses.com Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 Spouse Name (GPHS Class): Cynthia Adams Number of Grandchildren: 4 Contact Status: Registered (9/20/06) Family Information (Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Pets, Etc.): Cynthia and I have been married for going on 40 years. She, at present, is the Assistant Superintendent for curriculum here in Newberry. I am still the struggling owner of a SMALL real estate company with no sign yet for retirement. My youngest son Jonathan joined the firm four years ago after graduating from Lander University. Cynthia and I have had four children. The oldest, Gregory (36) and his wife Randa have a boy 5 and girl 3. They live close by in Columbia, SC. Jennifer (34) and her husband Mac have a girl 6 and a boy 3. They live at the country club 4 miles away. Our third child, Amanda, drown at ten months of age. Finally, our youngest, Jonathan (28) and his wife Hayli have 4 cats and 4 dogs. They live in a log cabin on three acres about 7 miles out in the country. Cynthia is now thankfully a breast cancer survivor Volunteer, Civic, Sports & Travel Activities: Just living life to its fullest Comments: I I Have really enjoyed seeing the new photos and reading the comments that have been posted on the site. I go to the site almost daily just to see the new entries. While the 45th reunion was ok, it was disappointing that more of our classmates were not in attendance. I hope that because of the class web site more people will be interested in coming back. The idea of regional reunions could be fun also. If we survive, Brian Mumaw, Charlie Munson and I will be at the 50th. Hope to see many more of you. |

She is a Psycho Therapist and lives in San Francisco. Volunteer, Civic, Sports & Travel Activities: Toys for Tots. People to People Ambassador program and travel when ever I can. Comments: I have lived in Sarasota, FL since 1978. It is a wonderful, cultural city on Florida's West Coast. I moved here from New York. I've been in the Travel Industry since 1964. I have loved travel since I was a young girl and still do. Florida has been a wonderful place to live. My parents had retired here so I was lucky to be near them. |

Occupation: Writer/Retired Teacher
Website: edithfine.com No. of Children: 2 Number of Grandchildren: 4 Contact Status: Registered (10/3/06) Family Information (Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Pets, Etc.): My two adult sons and their families live nearby (they're within walking distance of each other (great for the cousins). The kids are over here a lot - they (three lads, one lass) range from four to seven. Each unique. Each so much fun. Our specialty is making hand bubbles. (Try it: use good wet suds. I've gotten up to ten hands - a huge bubble; my sneaky way of getting hands clean for baking). My bro Bill and his wife still live on McMillan in the house where we grew up. Very deja vu to visit. Where's the Punch and Judy? Where's the soda counter? Hamlin's? How did the library on the corner shrink like that? But wait - there's the Calder mobile. Whew. Volunteer, Civic, Sports & Travel Activities: I've been active in AAUW, have taught writing in elementary and middle schools, have worked hard on political campaigns (our ex-guy in the 50th Congressional is in jail; mama mia). Now on the board of Voices of Women (www.voicesofwomen.org), which focuses on US foreign policy. Last fall I housed a university professor from Baghdad, forced to flee the country for safety. My writing group has met every other Wednesday since 1987 and my book group for close to ten. I'm at the pool every day (until they turn off the heat on Halloween), then it's walking time. May = New England, June = Norway with Katie. |
