I have two boys; graduates of Virginia Tech and Old Dominion University, respectively. Both are avid sports enthusiasts, one swimming and volleyball; the other surfing, skiing, and softball. Volunteer, Civic, Sports & Travel Activities: After my career with IBM I joined my husband's software company which we sold in 1989. We then moved to Aspen. We spend our "off seasons" in Clearwater, Florida where my mother lives. We travel a lot keeping up our 1k status with United. We love to take bike trips and have covered all of France and parts of Italy. We also like to take short trips and once went to Seoul Korea for a weekend! We just bought an apartment in the south of France (it's an investment) so expect to spend some time there as well. I currently direct research in the Department of Surgery and am Chief Coordinator of Medical Applications for a high tech "supernose" company that I founded in 2002. Together with three other trustees, we have also founded the Canterbury Charity Hospital in Christchurch to deliver day surgery and first specialist assessments to those who cannot access the NZ public health system. Civic: Board and general member of two chapters of the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, CA for several years. Raised funds for The Center by working to produce events (from casual street dances to triathlons to black tie events for upwards of 3,000 guests), and through personal networking. Sports: Skiing (snow and water), bicycling (Orange County to San Diego a few times), tennis, golf, swimming, and sailing (best as a first mate.) Travel: Visited Canada, Mexico, every state except Alaska (so far), and lived in CA(7 cities); FL(2); MA(1); MI(1); MN(1); MS(1); OK(1); OR(2); TX(1); VA(1); and WA(1). Comments: I am having SO MUCH FUN helping my classmates re-connect via this website. I enjoy speaking with everyone, whether or not I knew you in high school (or even remember that I knew you)! I appreciate all the help I have received with this site: time, money, and referrals. My goal is to notify all of our classmates about upcoming events and, hopefully, to help facilitate regional reunions for those classmates who are unwilling or unable to travel to Michigan every five years.
